The view from the front of my aunt' s home in Binghamton, New York.
In the distance is the building where my grandmother lived for many years. I spent lots of time there as a child.

I've been a bit unplugged lately enjoying our time with family and friends. Its been the summer I have truly needed. I've needed to feel the connection with family we haven't seen in awhile. The kids are enjoying cousins and more cousins and reacquainting themselves again. We've had lazy days by the pool and a getaway for Jeff and I to Atlantic City. It's the first time we've ever been away from the kids together for a night. We enjoyed the time as if it were our honeymoon again- quiet dinners and walks along the shore talking about all of our blessings and what lies ahead in our future. I loved every moment.
And so... our travels continue. The children and I arrived in New York yesterday. It brings me back to childhood memories and connects me to my lineage. Both of my parents grew up here. I love reminiscing and sharing stories and places with my children. Life here seems so different from where we live.
